The new hours will be 8:30AM until 5:00PM Monday and Wednesday and 8:30AM until 4:30PM Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. They will no longer be closed during the lunch hour to better serve our veterans.

Kankakee County Coroner, Bob Gessner would like to welcome Board Certified Forensic Pathologists, Dr. Michel Humilier and Dr. Valerie Arangelovich to Kankakee County. This husband and wife pair brings 5 year experience in forensic pathology to Kankakee County. “We are blessed to have them in Kankakee County,” Gessner said.

At the November 9, 2010 Kankakee County Board meeting, two main topics discussed were, IMRF/Early Retirement Incentives (ERI) and the Retirement Health Insurance Incentive. After an abundance of discussion, the County Board passed the ERI and the Retirement Health Insurance Incentive.

This program keeps pharmaceuticals out of the water supply by using drop-off boxes. The drugs are out of reach of children, and inappropriate use by criminals is avoided. The EPA (Environmental Protection Agency)has asked communities to stop flushing unwanted medications down the drain.
Kankakee County in cooperation with the local police agencies and the Illinois EPA, began this medication disposal Program in 2009. Please share this information with friends, neighbors and family members to protect our fishing, recreational, and drinking water resources.
